Mobile UC Observations
The wireless network is undergoing a massive transition
I got confused today. My company's software products for mobile voIP run on devices that have radios and these radios are undergoing significant change to deliver both higher speeds and packet services.
Anyways, I got ahead of myself and put an acronym on a powerpoint chart where I wanted to refer to the CDMA version of low speed data service, like the competitor to GPRS. Originally, I put UMTS, but then today, I thought "You know, you better make sure it's what you want to say instead of just what it does say."
So, I did a search on google (surprise? not), and I stumbled across this great article of wireless network infrastructure and the state of the industry.
I'm really impressed with the Wiki. It's a great project. Check it out.
