TANDBERG announced the immediate availability of its Movi with HD720 camera doing 30 frames per second at 720p. Users need a PC, TANDBERG client software, an HD web camera (such as TANDBERG HD720) and the Video Communications Server.
The newsworthy aspect of this announcement is the demonstration by the CTO showing how the Total T3 system can invoke Movi users. You can see Hakon Dahle press the touch screen navigation system of a T3 to pop up Movi users on the screen. Although hardly lifesize (they're tiny visual presentations), it seems to be really crisp visual quality (that's what the 720p is all about), but its just presented in a small box.
TANDBERG will demonstrate the solution at Voicecon in Orlando at the end of the month, and I'll plan to take an HD video of it too.
